Precision Wing Chun blends aspects of Traditional Wing Chun (William Cheung) lineage system which I feel is an external martial art, with the Chu Shong-tin (CST) lineage Wing Chun which is an amazing internal martial art.
You will learn all the Traditional Wing Chun forms, such as Siu Nim Tao, Advanced Siu Nim Tao, Chum Kiu and Biu Jee.
You will learn the 14 sections of the Muk Yang Jong (wooden dummy) and how to Chi Sao and defends against weapons. You will then learn how to use the long pole and butterfly knives of Wing Chun as well as you progress.
You will learn realistic techniques and more importantly in what situations to use them. Sparring and realistic training will be your guide as to what is effective as well. In Wing Chun you to often see to many drills, unrealistic techniques and no emphasis on actual fighting.
In the next part of the course you will learn the CST method of Siu Nim Tao and the other forms of CST lineage Wing Chun. They are greatly different to the William Cheung lineage forms and even though look similar to Ip Chun and other Ip Man Students forms, CST has developed an internal art to Wing Chun with power development I have not seen in any other Wing Chun lineages. Sifu Nima King opened my eyes to his methods and I have practised them ever since.
Another passion of mine which you will hopefully enjoy as well is the elements of ground fighting. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) has opened my eyes up to another world of fighting. BJJ also employs centreline theory and many practitioners are now combining Wing Chun and BJJ together as they complement each other.
